When the slopes along the Danube begin to turn green and spring — just as it did 200 years ago — invites people to their first countryside outings, the town of Dürnstein annually welcomes enthusiastic “Schubertians” to Dürnstein Abbey.

From June 26 to 28, 2026, the Loiben Cellar Lane will be dedicated to wine, enjoyment, and a relaxed atmosphere each day starting at 2:00 PM.

The picturesque Wachau will transform into a vibrant star-studded spectacle on September 18 and 19, 2026:
National and international artists will set off a fireworks of hits over the skies of Rossatzbach on the Danube, directly opposite the Dürnstein castle ruins.
In an average year, the grape harvest is scheduled from early to mid-October. The duration of the harvest depends on the weather and the vineyard location, but in the Wachau it usually lasts until mid-November. The harvest begins with grapes for juice and young wine (“Sturm”), followed by early varieties and, if applicable, wines in the Steinfeder category.
