In an average year, the grape harvest is scheduled from early to mid-October. The duration of the harvest depends on the weather and the vineyard location, but in the Wachau it usually lasts until mid-November. The harvest begins with grapes for juice and young wine (“Sturm”), followed by early varieties and, if applicable, wines in the Steinfeder category.

From June 26 to 28, 2027, the Loiben Cellar Lane will be dedicated to wine, enjoyment, and a relaxed atmosphere each day starting at 2:00 PM.
The cellar lane invites you to stroll, linger, and explore. Visitors can sample wines from various winemakers
— perfectly paired with delicacies from the Wachau Heurigen cuisine.

The Grafenegg Summer Festival
– an evening to remember.

The Spitzer Apricot Festival 2026 will take place from July 16 to 18, 2027, in Spitz on the Danube.

This traditional celebration honors the Wachau apricot with music, dance, and regional specialties.

On July 18, 2027, the Wachau Bike Marathon kicks off in Mautern on the Danube.
Three challenging routes through the UNESCO World Heritage Wachau and the Waldviertel await you.
For young riders, there is the KidsBikeTrophy.
