Is Hotel Schloss Dürnstein open in winter?



The hotel is closed every year from late October to late March.
During the winter break, the Tor Rooms (in the annex) and the Villa Schönthal are available.
Breakfast in the Schloss Greisslerei can be booked additionally.

Is the wellness and pool area open in winter?



The wellness area, pool facilities, and bike rental are closed from late October to late March.

Can I stay in Dürnstein over Christmas and New Year?



Yes. The Tor Rooms and the Villa Schönthal are of course bookable during the holidays.

What time can I check in?



Your room/suite is available from 3:00 PM.

What time is check-out?



Your room/suite is available until 11:00 AM.

70% 7 days before arrival

100% for no-shows

We have dynamic pricing for our rooms and suites, depending on occupancy and season.

Reception Hours



In summer, we are available 24/7.
Reservations are handled from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
In winter, we are available weekdays for half days.

When is breakfast served?



When the hotel is open, breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM.

Free Parking?



As there is a general parking ban in Dürnstein, please always park inside our castle gates.

Pool Opening Hours



During the summer season, we open daily at 7:30 AM and close at 7:30 PM.

Are e-charging stations available?



Yes, we have a limited number of e-charging stations in our 3rd castle courtyard.

You can either charge directly via your phone/app or get charging cards at the reception.

For Dog Owners



Please let us know at the time of inquiry/reservation if you are arriving with a dog.

Dogs are only allowed in selected room categories and for an additional fee.

Does the hotel have a seminar room?



We have a conference room in our converted attic, which can accommodate up to 30 people.

Can non-hotel guests have breakfast or dinner at the hotel?
